Beck Landry, home Readers' List

Privacy Policy

Short version: your email is used to send you email.

What this site collects

If you join the Readers' List, the site collects your email address. That is it. There are no accounts, no payments, and no comment boxes.

What it is used for

To send you notes from Beck Landry: a new book, a sale, the occasional story behind a story. The address is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own use.

Confirming first

After you sign up, you get one email asking you to confirm. Until you click it, nothing else is sent. This is called double opt-in, and it is there so nobody can sign you up without your say.

Who handles the list

The list is run through MailerLite, an email service. They store the address and send the notes on Beck's behalf. They keep their own privacy policy at mailerlite.com. MailerLite records when a note was opened or a link was clicked; that is used only to see what readers like.

Leaving

Every note has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are off the list. You can also write to beck@becklandry.com and ask to be removed, or ask what is stored about you, and it will be done.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and has no advertising. If visit counts are measured, it is with a privacy-friendly counter that stores nothing about you and does not follow you around the web, so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Links to stores

Buy buttons go to Amazon and other stores. Once you are there, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

Children

The list is for adults. If a child's address was added by mistake, write and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes get a note to the list.
